If you haven't already heard, the Annual Members Show at Walker's Point Center for the Arts (WPCA) is tonight, June 5, and this year's exhibit is absotootly, posilootly staggering in size and scope with over 100 works on display. That's a whole lotta art, people!
Shining bright within that ginormous crowd of creative expression is the phenomenal work of printmaker Tamiko Dargan. While chatting last night with Dorota Biczel Nelson, WPCA's acting PR/Marketing/Membership Coordinator, Cricky learned that Dargan's deceptively simple and striking images look exactly as they rightly should upon the wall: Fan-effin'-tastic!
Much like this ink and paper gem, entitled Terrestrial Series (TS1-1):
So, besides all the other joints you're gonna gallivant your way through tonight, where else are ya gonna be seen? That's right, WPCA, 911 W. National Avenue in Milwaukee, between the hours of 5PM and 9PM. Set your art goggles to stunned.
The Annual Members Show runs through July 2, 2009.
