Lately the very fine peeps over at Stone Creek Coffee have been spending more time than usual sweatin' by the roaster and samplin' brews like liquid speed fiends. Their goal? To come up with a special blend that effectively represents all the artsy good stuff the United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF) supports in Southeastern Wisconsin.
Well it seems their arduous labor has finally born fruit as they announced yesterday that a specially labled bag of Milwaukee Blend has arrived and that 100% of the $12 purchase price per bag will go directly to UPAF. Nifty, no? Yes!
Steve Hawthorne, who holds the honorable title of Vice President of Operations and twas my boss some years ago--that's right, my lengthy and stupefyingly varied resume includes work in the java world--gave me the word that this bag o' beans is a healthy blend of coffees from Brazil, Guatemala and Ethiopia. Also, it's only available through Sunday, May 9, and only on the web.
Get clicking and buy Milwaukee Blend 'cause what's good for UPAF is good for the performing arts!
(Thanks, Steve!)
