Comment Policy
CricketToes.com has no upfront comment moderation policy, meaning we do not hold comments for review prior to publication--frankly we just don't have the time for that--however, we would like the discourse hosted on and by CricketToes.com to be civil, respectful and productive. To that end, we have drafted the following policies on comments.
CricketToes.com is primarily an opinion blog and, as such, dedicated to the rights of free speech and free expression. We will do our best to honor those rights not only for our writers, editors and staff but also for those who take the time to comment here. That being said, any opinions expressed are solely that of the poster and do not necessarily reflect the views and/or opinions of any other writer, editor, staff member or commenter. CricketToes.com accepts no responsibility for comments, content and/or links posted by its readers.
CricketToes.com reserves the right, which we may or may not exercise, to review and/or disemvowel (i.e. remove vowels from words), either in part or as a whole, any comment posted which contains content that is deemed by us and at our sole discretion to be illegal, obscene, offensive and/or unnecessarily inflammatory in nature and/or marked by intentional trolling and/or ad hominem--an attack or attacks on the personal character of another and/or others, including the writers, editors and/or staff of CricketToes.com--at any time.
We also reserve the right to delete any comment posted that is deemed by us and at our sole discretion to be spam.
Any comment posted that is disemvoweled, either in part or as a whole, by the editors of CricketToes.com will be marked by an editor's note explaining the action taken and will retain its place in the comment order.
No comment posted to CricketToes.com will be removed, deleted or unpublished (i.e. removed from public view but not deleted from CricketToes' internal database archives) by any writer, editor or staff member of CricketToes.com, other than those deemed by us and at our sole discretion to be spam.
If a commenter wishes to have his/her comment(s) removed and/or deleted as a whole from CricketToes.com, we are happy to do so, but we must receive an email from that commenter requesting that action. Please send the email request to contact at crickettoes dot com.
The email request must include:
1) the title of the post(s);
2) the commenter's name as it appears on the comment(s);
3) the commenter's email address used when posting the comment(s);
4) the exact content of the comment(s) to be removed and/or deleted.
We will then verify the identity of the person making the request via email.*
Any comment removed and/or deleted as a whole by the request of the commenter will retain its place in the comment order, with the content replaced by an editor's note explaining the action taken (i.e. “Removed and/or deleted at the request of the commenter.”)
*If your email address has changed since the posting of the comment(s) you would like to have removed and/or deleted, you must provide us with the email address you used when posting the comment(s) in order for us to verify that you are who you say you are.
We will not edit and/or disemvowel the content of any comment(s) at the request of the commenter--again, we just don't have the time. Please feel free to leave a new comment if you need to add information to and/or clarify a previously posted comment.
Thanks for your attention. Here's to civil, respectful and productive dialog!

That being said, any opinions expressed are solely that of the poster and do not necessarily reflect the views and/or opinions of any other writer, editor, staff member or commenter. CricketToes.com accepts no responsibility for comments, content and/or links posted by its readers.
If a CricketToes.com post and/or article needs to be edited and/or updated for any reason--save the occasional simple punctuation and spelling corrections--the post and/or article will be clearly marked as edited and/or updated.
No writer, editor or staff member of CricketToes.com will edit, disemvowel (i.e. remove vowels from words) and/or update any post and/or article authored by another writer, editor or staff member without the author’s permission at any time, unless the content is deemed by us and at our sole discretion to be illegal, obscene, offensive and/or unnecessarily inflammatory in nature and/or is marked by intentional trolling and/or ad hominem--an attack or attacks on the personal character of another and/or others, including the writers, editors and/or staff of CricketToes.com. In the event that a CricketToes.com post and/or article includes mention of person(s), idea(s), action(s), cause(s), business(es), website(s) and/or post(s) that the author of the CricketToes.com post and/or article no longer wishes to support and/or be associated with and that reversal of support and/or association is felt so strongly as to warrant the deactivation of a link or links, the author of the CricketToes.com post and/or article will take the following action:
1) add an author's note stating that he/she no longer wishes to support and/or be associated with the person(s), idea(s), action(s), cause(s), business(es), website(s) and/or post(s), giving as much or as little detail as the author deems fit and appropriate;
2) deactivate any link(s) to the website(s) and/or post(s) of the person(s), idea(s), action(s), cause(s) and/or business(es) in question;
3) provide the typed URL(s) to the website(s) and/or post(s) of the person(s), idea(s), action(s), cause(s) and/or business(es) in question in the interest of readers.
No writer, editor or staff member of CricketToes.com will allow any opinion-based content, post and/or article to be changed, edited and/or removed through the influence of and/or pressure by a person and/or business mentioned or sponsor and/or advertiser, paying or otherwise, at any time nor for any reason. If a person and/or business mentioned or sponsor and/or advertiser wishes to issue a complaint regarding an opinion expressed in a CricketToes.com post and/or article, he/she/it may send an email to contact at crickettoes dot com at any time and we will do our best to address the complaint.
